Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior! We are honored to introduce Pastor Jean Richard Desir, who began his spiritual journey in 1998. Dedicated to both faith and service, Pastor Desir holds a Bachelor’s in Theology and Social Work from Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Massachusetts and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Desir seamlessly combined his knowledge in Social Work and Theology to spread the gospel through preaching and community service, including shelters and nursing homes.
His impactful leadership spans church various roles from Elder at Nouvelle Arche SDA Church (2005-2014) to volunteer at Galaad SDA Church (2015-2016), Assistant Pastor at Bronx-Franco Haitian SDA Church (2016-2018), and Lay Pastor at Ebenezer district (July 2022 – April 2023).He now currently stand as the Senior Pastor at Salem SDA Church (July 2023 – Present) .
Pastor Jean Richard Desir has been happily married to Marly Desir for 15 years, and they are blessed with three children – Marla, Abdiel, and Jayden Desir. His favorite scripture, Psalm 34:1, reflects his life’s essence: “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”
